For year people have debated on whether an Egg is healthy or not?
Some say only eat the egg whites, because the yolk is loaded with fat.
Others say, Eggs are high in cholesterol and should not be a daily part of your breakfast.
I have always been on the egg’s side.
It is high in protein ( roughly 6 grams per egg).
It is also packed with vitamins and minerals such as,
Vitamins A, B and D
as well as
minerals like, selenium, and choline .
On the Fat side, yes an average egg has 5 grams of fat,
but 60% of the is good fat ( mono and polyunsaturated fat).
Some eggs are even packed with beneficial Omega-3 fatty acids.
And, While Eggs are high in cholesterol,
science has already shown that food cholesterol
does not equal blood cholesterol.
The best thing about eggs are their diversity.
You can have hardboiled eggs in the frig for a quick snack,
or you can pouch, soft boil, scramble, and even fry them.
So the next time you see an egg,
think twice before you pass it up as part of a meal.
